Hi, my name is Kramer.  I was born on March 13th in a small rural shelter in western MN.  My siblings, mom and auntie transferred to Ruff Start a few weeks later.  I was born the day before Pi Day, so my siblings and I were named after people involved with math and science.  My foster mom says I have a great male personality!  It's hard to tell from the pictures but I'm long and lean!  My tail is as long as my body.  I have big round pouty eyes that will melt your heart.  I'm curious and interested in what my humans are doing.  I like to talk but not too much.  Did I mention, I like to cuddle!  My favorite spot to nap is in the cabinet on a cozy bed my foster mom put in there. I've met a few other cats and don't seem to mind them.  I've briefly met the dog and didn't seem to mind her.  Slow intros are always recommended.  Kids are cool too!  I'm a chill kitty looking for a chill family to join.   At one of my initial vet appointments, one of my siblings was diagnosed with Calicivirus.  Luckily, I did not develop any symptoms.  At our last vet appointment, my sister had been symptom free for several weeks and nobody else in the family developed symptoms.  The vet recommends that if there is another cat in the home I join, they must be up to date on their vaccines.  Safety is important for everyone.

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
